At our character development center, we offer martial arts classes designed to support the intellectual, emotional, and social development of our students. By grouping classes by age, we can provide age-appropriate instruction that meets the unique needs of each group, fostering a well-rounded and enriching learning environment.

No One Sits on the Bench at America's Best Karate of El Paso
At America's Best Karate of El Paso our instructors are there to guide, instruct, and motivate each child to be the best that they can be. It can be heartbreaking for a child to sit on the bench because he or she is not "good enough" to make the team. How sad it is that this world has placed this type of negative pressure on our youth at such an early age.
We believe that in order to build a champion kid, a coach needs to understand that each child has his or her own unique abilities. Our program allows your child to find the inner-strength and confidence to know they can achieve anything they put put their minds to.
Christian Arias
Hello! My name is Christian Arias, and I’m the General Manager here at America’s Best Karate. I began my martial arts journey at ABK when I was just five years old, and over the last 36 years, this program has played a major role in shaping who I am today. I’m proud to be a third-degree black belt, and I truly believe that martial arts — when done properly — can have a lifelong impact on a child.
Looking back, enrolling me in martial arts was one of the best decisions my parents ever made. Through training, I gained confidence, discipline, integrity, and perseverance. Martial arts didn’t just help me on the mat; it complemented every other sport and activity I participated in by teaching focus, self-control, and mental toughness.
Today, as the General Manager of ABK, I get to help create that same experience for our students and families. I’m involved in the day-to-day operations of the school and work closely with our instructors to make sure every child is supported, challenged, and encouraged. My goal is to provide a structured, positive environment where students can grow both physically and mentally.
I’m also a parent of two children, ages 9 and 7, which has given me an even deeper appreciation for what this program can do. Having my own kids train here has allowed us to tailor the ABK program to the needs of today’s children while staying true to the values that have always defined our school.
I’m passionate about helping students build confidence, character, and resilience — skills that extend far beyond karate and prepare them for life.
